Working for the Mississippi Economic Policy Center

MEPC offers a dynamic environment where research, outreach and education are used to advance public policies that improve the quality of life for working Mississippians.  MEPC team members accomplish this goal by drafting original papers, writing opinion pieces for the state’s major newspapers and posting on the MEPC blog Policy Matters.  Analysts also present findings to officials in the executive and legislative branches of government at state and federal levels to influence important policy decisions.

An award winning initiative of the Hope Enterprise Corporation, MEPC is a member of the State Fiscal Analysis Network (SFAI), coordinated by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and the Economic Analysis and Research Network (EARN), coordinated by the Economic Policy Institute (EPI).  Annually, team members attend national conferences and present information to national audiences on the work undertaken in Mississippi.
