Comment Policy
We Welcome Comments on the Policy Matters Blog!
We encourage our readers to share your knowledge and opinions on the topics we are writing about. It isn’t necessary to “log in” to the site to submit a comment.
However, in order to ensure that this blog remains a positive contribution to the policy debate, all comments are moderated. (That means they are reviewed before they are published to the website.)
If you want to be part of the discussion on our blog, here are a few guidelines to follow:
- Feel free to express a personal opinion or offer additional information on an issue. You don’t need to agree with us in order to get your comment posted, but we do ask that you engage in a civil and grounded discussion on the topic. Respectful disagreement will be respectfully posted on our site.
- Since this is a policy blog focused on substantive issues, we will not post comments that are inflammatory, derogatory towards a person or group of people, involve name-calling, excessively rant, or include “SCREAMING” (writing in all caps).
- The Mississippi Economic Policy Center is an independent, nonpartisan, initiative managed by the Enterprise Corporation of the Delta (ECD). That means we cannot engage in partisan activities, including implicitly or explicitly endorsing a political party or candidate for office. Any mention of public officials must be related to their work on issues of interest. All comments must also adhere to this policy in order to be posted on our blog.
Thank you for your cooperation. And we look forward to hearing what you have to contribute.
